At Kalmar, we are proud to cultivate the mind, body and soul connection by supporting charitable organisations and causes which align with our values. This support takes the form of sustained partnerships, regular donations and ongoing dialogues. Read on to find out more about our charity partners, and the ways Kalmar demonstrates a commitment to caring both for the individual, and for the community.

During the pandemic, we donated 30% of all profits from our sales to it, with a view to enhancing patient care and experience and the impact NHS Charity funds can make.

Sustainability

Our Partnership with Forest Carbon

Kalmar is committed to environmental consciousness; we aim for sustainability wherever possible. Because the Earth is the most precious resource of all. We are proud to be a member of Forest Carbon’s Carbon100 Club. For every item sold, we will plant one tree in Carbon Club woodlands across the UK, all certified under the Woodland Carbon Code, to offset the resulting carbon footprint. Through the planting of new trees with Forest Carbon, we pledge to sequester 100 tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere, as well as providing a host of other benefits to society, including flood mitigation, cleaner rivers and air, habitat creation, employment, public access and sustainable timber.

Female Empowerment

Our Partnership with Women for Women International

Kalmar believes passionately in gender equality. We are proud to partner with Women for Women International, a charity which is committed to supporting women whose voices go unheard around the world. Our donation is used to sponsor one sister as part of a year-long support programme, allowing her to learn about her health, her rights, and to train her in a vocation – so that she can support herself, her family and share what she learns throughout her local community.

Diversity and Mental Wellbeing

Our Partnership with Black Minds Matter

Mental wellbeing is all too often overlooked in contemporary society. For BIPOC individuals, the necessary support can be even more difficult to access. Kalmar is proud to support Black Minds Matter UK, a charitable fund which connects Black individuals and families with free professional mental health services across the UK. Our donation was used to support one Black individual in need of mental health support, providing around 20 hours of therapy.
